Honoring the Class of 2025

Rochester’s 175th Commencement marks a milestone moment as the University confers academic degrees across all schools. The University Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 16, launches a weekend of celebrations and events honoring our graduates. Full details are available online.

While all degrees are officially conferred at the University Ceremony, the School of Medicine and Dentistry MD Graduation Ceremony offers a special tribute to our medical students. This ceremony will take place at noon on Saturday, May 17, at the Eastman Theatre, 26 Gibbs Street, Rochester, NY.

The celebration will include a formal procession of MD graduates in academic regalia, joined by faculty representatives and honored guests. Each MD graduate will cross the stage in regalia and receive their diploma individually.

Please note: The School of Medicine and Dentistry MD Graduation Ceremony is distinct from the University’s Doctoral Celebration Ceremony.

All ceremonies will be live streamed for remote viewing.

Many students have distinguished themselves by exceptional academic performance.  Please join us in congratulating the Class of 2025 award recipients.
