Engagement
Mission
To engage diverse partners to promote, develop, and support solutions to urgent environmental sustainability, health, and justice problems in the Rochester region and beyond.
By engaging a wide range of stakeholders, the Institute transforms knowledge on how the environment influences health into actions that tangibly improve the health of communities, particularly those affected by environmental injustices. Multidirectional engagement between university and partners from local to global informs research efforts and changes in policies, systems, and environments. Engagement in science-based problem-solving will ultimately reduce health disparities and promote healthier lives for all.
